Put Your Engagement Photos to Use | Engagement Week Part 3

There are SO many ways that you can use your engagement photos beyond wall art and Instagram posts! Save the dates, invitations, thank you cards, Christmas/Holiday cards, reception decor, wedding websites, guest books, wedding day slideshows and – our favorite! – photo albums. These are some of the ways that my clients have used their engagement photos for their wedding day!

Save the Dates | Invitations | Thank You cards

Many couples choose to use their engagement photos on their save the dates! There is no better way to announce your wedding and/or engagement to your friends and family than to share photos of you with that new shiny accessory on your left hand!

Reception Decor

Your guests will love seeing your photos at the wedding, especially if they haven’t already seen them! One of my DIY brides, turned her engagement photos into mason jar decor. She also displayed her favorite photos in wood picture frames to match their rustic country theme.

Guest Book

This is a fun one. Photos deserve to be displayed, not kept hidden on your computer or cell phones! Print your photos! Better yet, ask me to design an album for you. These are perfect to set out on the coffee table for when family comes to visit you in your new home as a married or engaged couple! An album of engagement photos can also double as a guest book at the wedding. Either have guests sign directly on the printed photos or you can designate some pages towards the back for messages and well wishes. Another great option for a guest book is to ask guests to sign the photo matte and frame your favorite engagement photo for wall art in your home!

Wedding Website

There are a lot of really great options out there for wedding websites. If you are using The Knot or WeddingWire to plan your big day, they have free options for your wedding website. Also, websites like WordPress, Wix and Weebly are great if you want a bit more options in the design! SquareSpace is another great option, however there is an annual fee for hosting. Jason & Ashley decided to design & code their own website from scratch! They both are extremely skilled at web design and designing their own made perfect sense for them – they even bought their own domain name!

Get those images off of your computer and put them to use! All of these are great ideas for utilizing your engagement photos! Your guests will love seeing photos of you at the wedding and they make for great detail shots for the photographer 🙂
