I have been waiting oh so patiently for this engagement session and I’m so excited to finally share the photos on the blog! Nicole contacted me almost a year ago about scheduling their session and when the day finally arrived, everything went perfectly! Aaron is currently stationed in Germany with the Army and they planned their engagement session around the time of his scheduled leave in August.
I’ll admit to having moments of worry when I looked out the window at work an hour before their session was scheduled to start and saw nothing but dark, gloomy clouds. We scheduled their engagement session during Aaron’s last week of leave and we had to make that day work – no way could we reschedule! But everything worked out just fine and we finished up photos minutes before it began raining.
I’ve known Nicole for what feels like a very long time. We worked together at American Eagle for almost five years and I was SO excited when she reached out about her engagement photos. And I’m even more excited for their wedding next fall – eek! It’ll be so beautiful! Thinking back to those AE days, I remember Nicole talking about this guy that she liked from high school and how they were really great friends and here we are! They’re engaged and getting married next fall. It’s so awesome to look back and see how far Nicole and Aaron have come together as a couple and individually.
I know the journey that they’ve been on has not been easy for either of them. Being in a long distance relationship is one of the toughest things anyone can experience. I cannot even express how proud and excited I am for these guys! They’ve only got about another year left of being long distance and from there, life’s a complete and utter journey. I’m looking forward to seeing where life takes them, but I know wherever it is, they’ll always be there for each other.
Well, I’m sure you’re dying to see these photos I mentioned earlier … this engagement session is definitely one of my favorites. Nicole and Aaron had such a blast at their session! They made sure to pick locations that were really meaningful to them and included Aaron’s commitment to the military in their session when he wore his dress blues. We started the session at the Everal Barn and made our way to Uptown Westerville. Aaron & Nicole are both Westerville South alums and it was only fitting to photograph their engagement photos at their old stomping grounds.
Now, enough words. I’ll let the photos speak for themselves 🙂
