When you’re a member of such a tight nit group like the Rising Tide Society, I think it’s super important to pay respect to the vendors you really love working with! That’s exactly why I want to begin highlighting some of my favorite partners in the Columbus community on my blog in a new series, Featured Monday. I’ve been in the wedding industry in Columbus for a handful of years now and I’ve consistently been able to work with a few awesome people that deserve to be featured beyond their own websites. Shannon is definitely one of those individuals!
I first had the pleasure of working with and meeting Shannon at the Henry’s styled shoot last fall and we instantly connected! Since then, we have had the opportunity to work together many more times – she was also the hair stylist at my first styled shoot last year! Shannon and I definitely speak the same language – in business and in life – and I’m so grateful to have become friends with her! We both have the belief that if someone is talented in their field – then let them do their own thing. Give them general direction and let go because that talented individual will do great things!
Shannon is a luxury hair stylist located in Columbus and she’s ahh-mazing! When I first met her, I thought she only did wedding hair styling, but she does so much more! She does hair styling for just about anything you can think of and she recently began offering salon appointments. Shannon is one of the best in Columbus and I cannot think of anyone better than to refer my clients to!
But one of the best things about Shannon that just makes me adore her even more is her heart. She is one of the nicest, sweetest, most caring people I have ever met. When she’s on the job, it’s not just “let’s get down to business.” She wants to get to know you and cares about how your life is going. It’s kind of an odd story, but when we met up a couple of weeks ago to take some updated headshots for her, we thought we saw a woman dump her dog at the park we were at. Shannon was so concerned about the dog, that we backtracked to try to find the dog but to keep a long story short, the dog was fine and was not actually being abandoned. Talk about a weird way to end a photoshoot, amiright?!
If any of my brides ever ask me for recommendations for hair stylists – for weddings and photoshoots – I will never hesitate to recommend Shannon. She’s super creative, with an elegant twist and is willing to tackle whatever task she’s given.
