Best of 2016 Weddings | Fun Friday

The last few Fridays, I’ve been taking some time to highlight my best work from 2016 and it’s been such a blast reliving all of these moments! If you’ve missed the last posts, find them here and here. Today’s best of post is all about 2016 weddings!

My 2016 wedding season was exactly what I needed it to be. I focused on all of my wonderful clients and each #stephparkerbride by giving them a great experience. I was then able to dedicate some time into furthering my education as a photographer by writing and listening more and speaking less. If you haven’t noticed, I’ve spent quite a bit of time into making my Tuesday Tips posts super informational and fun! I also spent quite a bit of time working with other photographers as a second shooter, which is something I had never done in my four years as a photographer.

The weddings I photographed this year kept me a bit closer to home, but also gave me the opportunity to explore new venues that I had not had the opportunity to photograph at before. Some of the venues I connected with this year are: Warwick Farms, North Bank Pavilion, the Nationwide Hotel & Conference Center, The Boat House, and Camp Mary Orton.

This year, I also had the opportunity to coordinate my first styled shoot and I cannot wait to start planning another one in 2017! And I can’t end this post without talking up some of the vendors I partnered with this year: Sam & Leda at Events Held Dear, Shannon Goode, Jan Kish, Josh Staley Productions, Kenzie Phillips (the designer behind Ivory House Creative), Dalay from Dalay KET Event Design, and so many more!

After the fantastic year I’ve had with Steph Parker Photo, I cannot wait to kick 2017’s ass! So far, I have four weddings booked – all fall weddings – and a more few interested parties that may get added to the list! It may not seem like much, especially when a lot of my photographer friends are almost booked up for next year, but 2017 will be the biggest year for weddings I’ve had since 2014. This feeling is long overdue and I can’t help but feel thrilled at what else may come my way! Until then, enjoy the last ‘best of’ post of 2016!
