Industrial Romance Same-Sex Styled Shoot

Finally.

Today’s the day and if you’re not as excited as I am about it, then you have about 15 seconds to get freaking excited! This styled shoot has been in the works for about a year. I started planning my inspiration board for Industrial Romance around the time I completed my styled shoot last April – click here to view Artistic Boho Summer Camp Wedding. Once January rolled around, I started reaching out to my favorite vendors and the ball got rolling.

I’m so thankful for The Rising Tide Society for giving me the opportunity to network with such amazing vendors in Columbus! Not only have I met and become friendly with some amazing photographers, those friendships and the RTS have led me to meet some amazing non-photography vendors here in Columbus!

The biggest inspiration behind Industrial Romance is my love of natural light and contrast. In my work, I ensure that colors are always bright and bold. And I always ensure that shadows are represented as they should be. The color black is a natural part of life and should always be represented in artistic work. My work is influenced and inspired by LIFE and in life there is always darkness and black but also brightness and light. It was this concept that led to me to shoot this styled shoot with 100% natural light.

I am so grateful for the amazing friends and vendors that understood my vision for this shoot and helped make it amazingly successful. It’s moody. It’s romantic. It’s bold. It’s feminine. It’s accepting. It’s everything.

My favorite part about this shoot? The faces behind the success of this shoot – all women. It’s incredible that some of the BEST of weddings in Columbus are women-owned companies and I couldn’t be more proud to plan a shoot that represents that.

Thank you to the amazing people that helped make this shoot possible:
