I know by now that you all know how much I LOVE getting to photograph engagement sessions! In fact, I love them so much, that I gift a complimentary engagement session to each couple that books me for wedding photography. I feel that passionately about getting to work with my clients, getting to know them, serving them with amazing photos as much as I possibly can, and eventually becoming friends with them. And their dogs, of course. That’s the real reason I always tells my clients they can bring their dogs to sessions! 😉
2017 was easily a year of growth for me – personally and professionally. I already wrote a 2017 wrap-up post, so I won’t dive into this too much here – go read my original post if you want to know more! It was not a record-breaking year for me. I’m not ashamed to admit that. I deeply wish I could have done more this year, but with balancing a new job that focuses a lot of energy and time on weekends, I was only dealt what I was able to handle. Do I wish I could have booked more couples and photographed more engagement and couples sessions in 2017? Absolutely! But the sessions I did get to photograph this year … they were beautiful!
I photographed engagement sessions at Franklin Park Conservatory, the Scioto Mile, Anderson Farms in Granville, Ault Park in Cincinnati, the Suspension Bridge at the Ohio-Kentucky border, and at Schiller Park in German Village. I photographed FOUR cute little puppers and their humans! And I got to laugh and enjoy getting to know so many amazing couples.
I just know that 2018 is going to be an amazing year. I hope you’ll stick around and experience the ride with me! In the meantime, I hope you’ll continue scrolling down so you can see all of the photos that I just love from 2017! Out of all of the engagement photos I took over the last year, I know that these truly represent my business and my abilities as a photographer.
Happy New Year and Happy 2018!
More 2017 engagement session posts coming soon!
