Josh has been a friend of mine for seven years now. YES – SEVEN! (But Facebook says five years so … who’s counting anyway?!) Just writing that makes me feel old, to have known a friend (that I met at college), for that long. Okay, I’m good now … And think about it: Josh has been planning weddings for pretty much as long as I’ve known him – possibly even longer! Josh, owner and head coordinator/planner of Weddings from the Hart, recently booked what will be his 60th wedding and he isn’t stopping anytime soon!
He contacted me late in the summer and asked if I could photograph some updated headshots for him. Considering how late I am at blogging these, it wouldn’t surprise me if I’ll be photographing MORE updated headshots in the next few months!
After college, Josh and I lived in the same apartment community for almost three years and over the summer, he moved downtown so it was only fitting to take some lifestyle shots of him inside his new, chic downtown apartment! Not only is he a wedding planner, he’s also incredibly talented at interior decorating – seriously! His apartment has the perfect blend of industrial and classy pieces. After we wrapped up shots at his apartment, we explored downtown a bit and ended at the Scioto Mile bridge to photograph the skyline. Typical of our friendship, after we wrapped up with his headshots, we walked to Condado’s to treat ourselves to tacos, chips & queso, and margs. There is no better day than a day I spend with a camera in hand and tacos in my belly 😉
