Love, Baseball & Summer Nights
On a Friday at the end of August, I met up with Chris and Cora for their engagement session and we couldn’t have asked for a better evening. The weather was perfect, the sunset was beautiful, and we had a blast!
For these two baseball lovers, we met up at Huntington Park and started their session outside the field. When Cora met Chris, she was already a baseball fan. Specifically, a fan of the Reds. Normally, that’d be fine, right? Well, Chris is a Cubs fan. After some teasing and a healthy dose of rivalry, Chris slowly managed to convert Cora into a Cubs fan!
After we wrapped up at the Park, Chris & Cora changed outfits and we walked around the area a little bit and stumbled upon a really cool community with an aged/antiqued brick exterior. It honestly felt like we’d walked into a quaint little village somewhere in Europe. I’m constantly surprised when I find areas like this in Columbus. It’s always so unexpected and it’s one of the many things I love about my city.
We finished our time together at a Columbus classic: Goodale Park. Goodale is always beautiful, but on a summer night like we had? It was stunning. Perfectly filtered light. Golden sunlight leaking in through the leaves. A light breeze that reminded us that Fall will be stumbling in any day now.
Chris & Cora are one of my 2019 couples and I’m so pumped for their big day at The Vue! It’s going to be a day filled to the brim with fun, music, good food, and lots of love. Until then, enjoy looking through some of my favorites from their engagement session 🙂
